Infants
Tree of Life Montessori Academy’s qualified and compassionate staff provide developmentally appropriate programs for infants in a well-prepared, safe, and secure environment for infants in order to support children reach their full potential. We also create a community atmosphere where parents and families can network and build relationships.
Our loving and friendly staff works collaboratively with parents to make sure the child is comfortable and following the same daily schedule as at home, this includes feeding times, nap times and play times.
The TLMA infant program is observed by management on a regular basis to ensure the highest quality of care and that we are providing activities that encourage and foster child’s development.
Parents are responsible for providing diapers, wipes, creams, blankets, indoor shoes, extra clothes, water bottle and milk bottle all of which must be labeled with the child’s name. Any formula and/or baby food must include the date, name and be in the original container.
Toddlers
TLMA’s toddler program allows children to be independent in an atmosphere of love and support. Our toddlers flourish in an environment that believes in and encourages their innate abilities.
With your child’s natural learning characteristics in mind, the lessons offer a complete range of purposeful and sensorial activities. The classroom is a safe, welcoming, scientifically prepared space where the children build a sense of belonging, create connections with peers and adults while developing their potential.
In the TLMA Toddler room the staff also helps children to be more independent in feeding himself, telling his needs and requirements, potty training etc. so that the child is gradually ready to be transitioned in the preschool room.

Preschool

Our professionally trained staff encourage preschoolers to explore and discover, to collaborate with classmates, and to take ownership of their education. The Montessori Method encourages self-directed learning that promotes self-confidence, independent thought and action, and critical thinking, while fostering social-emotional and intellectual growth.
Education for peace is a foundational component of Montessori education at all levels. At the preschool level, the teaching of peace, social justice, and global citizenship is based on fostering respect for all people and living things, and helping children learn the tools for peaceful conflict resolution.
Environment
TLMA environment for very young children gives your infant or toddler the freedom to safely explore and learn through discovery. The setting is calm, inviting, and homelike, with soft rugs, a rocking chair, books arrayed on low shelves and toys in baskets. Colors are muted, the atmosphere peaceful. The space is organized, clean, and uncluttered.
The classroom is a community in which respect for the independence and character of your child is paramount. Loving and caring staff are consistently calm, gentle, soft-spoken, patient, and trusting. They demonstrate respect and compassion by using eye contact, kneeling to the level of the child, addressing your children by name, and speaking before touching or moving them. The result is a calm, soothing atmosphere in which consistent caregivers create an emotional safe haven for those in their care.
Learning materials are easily accessible. These materials are designed to foster concentration, problem solving, and a sense of achievement. Children select the material that interests them, use it for as long as they would like, clean it up (with assistance when needed), and make another choice.
Equipment that supports gross and fine motor skills, such as low ladders with railings for children who are just learning to walk, are available for toddlers to try. Child-sized furniture, utensils, and other tools enable children to make independent choices and complete activities, which builds self-confidence, concentration, and critical thinking skill
